Here is the second version of "Black Bart Roberts" famous "ABH AMH" flag.
This black assign was seen on the first edition of Johnson's General History.
As you can see this version has an "St. George Cross"in the left corner of the flag.
English War ships often flew "Red" flags with the St George cross in the corner around the time of Roberts operations.
Other ships such as those of Privateers around the time,
had a "white" flag with the St. George Cross in the left corner.
